Many months ago on this blog

I predicted Elizabeth Warren would be the Dem presidential candidate. After the shambles of a talk last night, I am more convinced.

I remind readers that America and Americans are no longer loved in many EU countries. We look weak, proud, unwilling to work with the European nations, a bully, etc.

The moment for a love-feast has passed.

Mantra

I know Catholics who believe the politicians and pundits who say that the extremism has nothing to do with Islam.

Intelligent Catholics....who seem to me to be in denial. They are under the effects of the mantra.

But, the mantra has been so obvious since the shootings in France, echoed by almost all leaders of nations and even churches, I am beginning to wonder who is telling those people what to say and when?

By definition, a mantra does not have to be rational or make sense. All a mantra does is to create a false spiritual or psychological sense of well-being and peace.

The mantra which I call the Om of the Religion of Peace seems too obvious, too orchestrated.

A mantra can be totally meaningless but if said over and over and over, some type of chemical reaction in the brain begins to react soporifically. If one says or hears something over and over and over again, one begins to believe this in this utterance.

So, who is telling the leaders to repeat this mantra, from France, to England, to Ireland, to America, to Canada, to Japan, to Australia?

Who? Here is an example from wiki, which overlaps the Om I have identified....but this will not "work" out into any reality. Mantras cannot create real peace, only Christ can and does.

"Om! Let the Studies that we together undertake be effulgent;
"Let there be no Animosity amongst us;
"Om! Peace, Peace, Peace.

To be an activist or not to be

Someone told me bloggers, including myself, were seen as activists, unless they were writing about recipes or make-up. I guess if I wrote about animals, this person would not be so concerned.

I guess this is so, although I would merely define myself as an obedient daughter of the Church doing what God commanded all of the baptized to do and that is spread the Gospel. We are all commanded, not requested, to preach, teach, encourage, correct and so on. See my posts on the works of mercy.

Matthew 28:16-20Douay-Rheims 1899 A

16 And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And seeing him they adored: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

If spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ labels one an activist, we are all in trouble.

Some people I have spoken with deny that some of the saints were activists.

How can one live out the Gospel in the world and not be seen as such?

One cannot. The great St. Francis upset his family, his town, the local church and finally went to Rome and got permission for his daring new order which imitates the Life of Christ.

St. Francis is most likely the saint whose life most resembles Christ. But, he was not without detractors, even enemies.

Some monks tried to poison St. Benedict because they did not like his message.

I am sure St. Catherine of Siena was considered an activist.

Her family and local community had views about this as well.

I think the problem is that too many Catholics think that they are not called to activism.

We in the Church Militant all are--all, except those called to the contemplative life.

St. Francis did more than preach to the animals. One must decide whether to be an activist or not to be.

We are beyond the days of standing by and watching the Church being undermined, as it is daily, from so many quarters.

You, dear Readers, may wake up one morning soon with ZERO religious rights.

If you do not act now, you may never be able to do so....

The Snakes Have Returned

The story of Patrick is not about real snakes, but about the Pythonic demons, in my opinion. He exorcised this pagan isle.

Long ago, this powerful, holy man conquered the pagan religion of the Druids.A man of extraordinary gifts, Patrick must have overcome the demons of false seers, pagan rituals which may have included killing people, and secret worship of nature. Natural religion also claims that a person can save themselves. There is a secret society here which believes that and which has much influence.

I cannot help but believe that the snakes have returned to Ireland.

Abortion is now legal, and the island abounds with witches, false visionaries and members of a certain secret society.

That ssm will be passed soon is another indication that evil has climbed back into the Holy Isle.

The rise of the occult here is staggering. November 18th was official "Occult Day" here, as it was in America.

I found Ireland under a black cloud in 2011, and the darkness has thickened. If Ireland ever needed St. Patrick, it is now.

I would be so happy if all those Michaels would sincerely pray to their patron for this beautiful place.

In one Medieval book, St. Patrick is standing on a snake supposedly in Purgatory, the door of which is supposed to be on Station Island in Lough Derg. Too bad the belief in Purgatory has passed out of Ireland.

The most pious people I have met here, who are under the age of 45 are not Irish, but Polish, Scottish, and other-ish.

If ever this Island of Saints needed saints, it is today.

While I am writing this, I can hear the strong wind blowing over Dublin. My heart aches for this city.

The snakes have returned.

On A Demon of The False Seer

The Serpent Column from Delphi-Wiki
Myths and truth overlap. I was re-reading the passage in Acts 16:16 when St. Paul gets fed-up with the false seer and exorcises the girl from what is called in the Douay-Rheims, the Pythonic spirit.

16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain girl, having a pythonical spirit, met us, who brought to her masters much gain by divining.

17 This same following Paul and us, cried out, saying: These men are the servants of the most high God, who preach unto you the way of salvation.
18 And this she did many days. But Paul being grieved, turned, and said to the spirit: I command thee, in the name of Jesus Christ, to go out from her. And he went out the same hour.

It never dawned on me until today that the demon was called "Python" in the Vulgate. An old article reminded me of this when I began a study of a false healer who was connected to a python.

Now, one can draw a line to Genesis and the snake in the garden, and also to Delphi, which I have written about on this blog before, as a place of demonic seances, relating to the pythonic demon which in myth, was overcome by Apollo.

In some myths, the priestess seer is called Pythia, and she could be seen as having a pythonic demon. Her name became the name of the main seer, the Pythia. Also, there is a sculpture of the python at Delos.

Therefore, St. Paul is making the connection concerning demonic seers.

Someone indicated that in the Latin Vulgate, in the passage about King Saul seeking out the Witch of Endor, that the "divining spirit" is also referred to as "pythonic". They were correct.

Note--- 1 Samuel 28

The evidence is growing for a real identification with false seers and a demon called "Python".

For years, I have been studying the characteristics and importance of the demon mentioned in Revelation.

For many reasons, this demon is one worshiped today by a certain group of people. And, as it is the same demon or types of demons, this makes the connections more interesting. I wrote an entire post on this in the autumn, about the Destroyer, Abaddon, or Apollyon

http://supertradmum-etheldredasplace.blogspot.ie/2014/10/for-synod-members.html

So the demon is worshiped today by a certain group and is the same demon of false prophecy, false visions.

Revelation 9:11 Douay-Rheims

11 A king, the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek Apollyon; in Latin Exterminans,

This demon is attacking the Church now in many areas.

One, I cannot list them all-but false seers are only one column of warriors against Christ and the truth. I have listed many false seers on this blog. The Pythonic demon....
Two, Coatlicue and Qpetzalcoatl, Aztec serpent gods demanded human sacrifice, especially the first demon. I think abortion is connected to these evil spirits--the Pythonic demon again.
Three, Apollyon is worshiped by a secret society. Yes, yet again...

This powerful demon and cohorts have not left us alone...and are mentioned in all the above references dating back to Genesis.

To be continued....for a reason

On Mercy and Justice Again....forced to go to God

We cannot take mercy for granted, as that is the sin of presumption. And, until one goes through the Dark Night, one vacillates between the sins of presumption and despair. One learns what justice really is and what mercy really is.

Mercy is above justice, not in place of...there seems to be confusion as to God's justice being something which is contrary to mercy. It is not, The two, true Attributes go hand in hand.

Summa, First Part, Question 21. The justice and mercy of God

from Thomas Aquinas, a few thoughts...

Now as works of art are related to art, so are works of justice related to the law with which they accord. Therefore God's justice, which establishes things in the order conformable to the rule of His wisdom, which is thelaw of His justice, is suitably called truth. Thus we also in human affairs speak of the truth of justice.

Justice, as to the law that governs, resides in the reason or intellect; but as to the command whereby our actions are governed according to the law, it resides in the will.

The truth of which the Philosopher is speaking in this passage, is that virtue whereby a man shows himself in word and deed such as he really is. Thus it consists in the conformity of the sign with the thing signified; and not in that of the effect with its cause and rule: as has been said regarding the truth of justice.

Justice and mercy appear in the punishment of the just in this world, since by afflictions lesser faults are cleansed in them, and they are the more raised up from earthly affections to God. As to this Gregory says (Moral. xxvi, 9): "The evils that press on us in this world force us to go to God."

A Prayer of The Heart

About 45 years ago, I learned the Jesus Prayer, which has its roots in the Philokalia which was popular then. This prayer is a blessing to me now more than ever. The point of the prayer is twofold. The first to create a pattern of silence no matter where one is, walking down the street, or cleaning the house, or driving.

The second is to remind one of the truth of the Incarnation and Salvation brought to one through Jesus Christ.

I highly recommend memorizing and saying this prayer daily. Sometimes, I just say it over and over and over..

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me, a sinner
