Happy Father's Day to my father, who is 89.
We are so fortunate to belong to a Church, the one, true religion, to which a loving Father-God has revealed Himself. We are His children by baptism, and the heirs to heaven. Thank Him for His great Mercy in giving us life, the Church, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Also, thank Him for giving us each other, our brothers and sisters in Christ.

My father is 94 and still spritely. His mind is sharp and he is very set in his ways. We went together to mass but he sat in the same spot with his friend. I had to go and sit somewhere else even though I had travelled a very long way to visit him. I didn't hold it against him. He goes dancing and plays carpet bowls. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a lovely father.
We love them more when they are very old.
