Hmmm. If the world fell apart this week, I think I'd have to stay put, because there'd be no way to get to any other place! And even if there were, with communications being broken down, there'd be no way to evaluate which places are better off than where I am now.
I am stuck in my home due to being in a wheelchair and unable to drive so I have no other choice than to stay put, but I guess that is where God wants me right now! (I Hope!)
Mark, you can pray for the rest of us nutsies who would move..
I would have to stay put with my parish and pastor, to do what we could to help our Nation... but Vilnius, Lithuania would be a nice option, too, if we could get transplanted over there somehow!
New Sister, I had a boss from Vilnius who lost all her property to the Soviets and spent years trying to get it back to no avail. It was charming, as she showed me photos. Why Vilnius?
O the beautiful fruits of the Counter-Reformation, Supertradmum! I *love* Vilnius, and the country of Lithuania. I love the people, the Baroque churches and buildings. I love the Prime Minister who had the courage to tell the EU to stick it on forcing gay agenda and abortion in this Catholic country. Above all, I deeply love and am devoted to Our Lady of the Gates of Dawn. And much more - I couldn't possibly write it all. BL: it could be a great place to wait out global anarchy :-D
New Sister, Vilnius it is.
OK, folks, I voted for Iceland and now there are three of us going there. I just thought no invaders would want it...and, I always wanted to go there...
