More on the language of Marxism 101

I found this list on a good site to help those Catholics who still think Liberation Theology or a Christian Marxism is ok. I have many posts on this, but this is the 101 guide to Marxist language.

If he or she talks like a Marxist and writes like a Marxist, the person is a Marxist.

from http://www.thinking-catholic-strategic-center.com/Catholic-Communizer-Dorothy-Day.html

  • There is no such thing as a bourgeois class.
  • There is no such thing as a proletarian class.
  • There is no such thing as a “wage slave.”
  • There is no such thing as “Property is Theft.”
  • There is no such thing as a “system of greed.”
  • There is no such thing as a man-made system called Capitalism.
  • Workers are not “exploited” by mere fact of being employed.
  • Marxist “equality” can only exist at the expense of all liberty.
  • Violating property rights is a violation of the Commandment to not steal.
  • Promoting class warfare is a violation of the Commandment to not covet.

Communism is evil - but what is the evidence for some of those statements? Like 'There is no such thing as a man-made system called Capitalism.' What does that mean?

'Workers are not “exploited” by mere fact of being employed.' - but hey are exploited if their employers take advantage of their lack of choice to treat them as objects, as means of profit, rather than as human beings.

And could they not some of the statements apply to some forms of capitalism as well?

'Violating property rights is a violation of the Commandment to not steal.' - not always (see St. Thomas Aquinas. See also the Church Fathers on hoarding and greed).

The original author's style is so un-academic, so over the top that it's hard to take him seriously.

I think DHS and the TSA have become instruments of a Marxist agenda. The State will protect you - Trust "Motherland". She is photographing and groping you, tearing down every boundary of your dignity as an individual, and taking away your firearms, for your own good.

Sorry - just had a miserable flight home. :-(

NewSister, I agree with you and the degradation of our bodies is a slippery slope to the populace accepting other types of degradation. I think of those Nazi movies where certain sadistic men and women were put in charge of camps. This move on the part of the American government to reduce citizens to mere cattle is a bad sign.
