What would surprise you about this place is how diverse its foilage is -- or was (hills are now denuded of vegetation) The produce (not poppies) is wonderful - so is the food. This country grows over 100 different varieties of grapes!!
#1: I will say Manhattan, as there is a sign up in English, and the other choices aren't English-speaking countries.
#2: I will say Cairo, as, from pictures, I see they have pavement like that in the streets (though not much rain).
#3: I will guess Kabul. I was going to go with one of the Spanish cities, as the ladies have their heads covered, but then, on closer inspection, I see they have more Middle-Eastern features.
