JOHN SMEATON, SPUC DIRECTOR Thursday, 26 June 2014 Young pro-lifers walking the South Downs Way for SPUC Paul Smeaton, my son (pictured) has 84 more miles to walk in the sponsored walk which he and Matthew McCusker is undertaking this week for the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC). They are walking the South Downs Way, one of Britain’s longest national trails. Our young team has set itself the target of completing the trail, and all diversions for food and rest for the night, within one week, and without the use of any form of transportation- except their feet! This will mean averaging close to 20 miles each day. Matthew, my personal assistant, has worked for SPUC for nearly four years and is giving up a week of his annual leave to raise awareness of SPUC’s abortion miscertification campaign.
