Those who are universalists, believing that all men are saved, ignore the long history of teaching in t the Church regarding the Final Judgment.
How ridiculous for the Church to teach of Christ coming as Judge is all are saved anyway.
No, the good will be rewarded and the bad punished as natural and supernatural consequences for sins.
From Christ's Own words down to the present time, Catholics have held the Final Judgment as part of our basic belief. We cannot pick and choose what is in the Creed.
It is give to Christ, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity to judge the living and the dead, (seen here rising from the dead as the last trumpet), because He is Victor over death and sin.
The Resurrection is not only a sign of our own resurrection but that of the Final Judgment.
