When I was about nine and ten, I wrote plays for the neighbour kids and invited students from the local college. I charged them ten cents.
I am afraid I was a bit disobedient at the time, as my mother told me not to advertise in the dorms, but I made hand-written posters and did anyway. One of my earliest efforts was a comedy involving aliens. That would have been in 1959. I was ahead of my time.
And, we had lemonade stands. With ice.......but we kept the money, as in those days, our town had no homeless or very few.
